All crop production techniques are carried out using our own crop production protocols, achieving and exceeding Assured Crops and Assured Produce standards, to give our customers, complete confidence in a quality product with full traceability from field to plate.
All produce conforms to LEAF principles; we are full members of the LEAF programme, and firmly believe in the sustainable approach of LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming).
We manage the land in as natural a way as possible, leaving field margins for wild flowers and animals. Wildlife often seen on the farm includes barn owls, deer, foxes.
Over 2 miles of hedgerows have been established in the last few years, native trees are planted to complement the existing tree lines, and dew ponds are maintained to encourage wild birds.
Bees in particular are very important on the farm to help with pollination of crops, we have a number of hives for this purpose that are the responsibility of the local apiarist (bee keeper).
