Rustic Sausages with Tray Baked Turnips and Peppers

400g turnip peeled and cut into chunks
8 Toulouse sausages
2 large red onions, peeled and cut into chunks
1 red pepper de-seeded and cut into large chunks
1 orange pepper de-seeded and cut into large chunks
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin seeds

Pre heat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas mark 6. Heat a frying pan with 1 tbsp of the oil until hot, add the sausages and brown both sides. Remove from the heat and place the sausages on a greased baking sheet. Add the onions and peppers, drizzle with the remaining olive oil and sprinkle with the cumin seeds and paprika, cook in the pre heated oven for 25 minutes, turning occasionally until the vegetables are browned and the sausages are cooked. Serve with baked potatoes and a green salad.
